Not much Covin work was done this year due to Bathroom re-build and the
ongoing Camper Van project.
However.... I did carry out another very successful mod to the cooling
system by modifying a Refrigeration Evaporator into a small front
mounted cooler in line with the heater circuit. This was mounted above the
undertray as shown in pictures.
The results were better than expected and the Fans never come on now while
car is moving.
Good job I did carry out this mod as it was really put to the test on the
trip back home from Newark show with heat wave Temperatures of 30 Deg we got
stuck in a huge traffic jam that resulted in it taking 11 hours to get home
and my Covin never had the engine turned off until we got home..... Perfect

THE covin forum is launched 27th march 2006 |
|
The
covin forum has
proved to be a big success and thanks go out to Club Member James Bell who
came up with the idea and together we managed to iron out some early
problems. Many hours of work later the Forum finally went live on March 27th
2006
For those of you who have not visited the Forum, all members can post
pictures, contact other members, ask questions or browse through submitted
articles.
I'm sure all members who have visited the Forum will agree it's a much
better way to go than just having a website.

| A great turnout at the Newark show, weather
was very hot for both days and we all enjoyed a few drinks on the
evening.... Until Mark Turner opened a Bottle of Absinth and it all went
downhill from there... Check out the Forum for further details. |

amble show July 2006 |
| I decided to attend a local VW Club show who
were putting on a small display at the annual Amble Sea Fare which is only
35 miles North from where we live. It was a good event and My Covin atracted
lots of attention from members of the public including a few who'd owned a
Covin in the past... Small world eh ? |

This show has become one of the
best shows on the calendar and this year was no exception. Bigger and better
than last year, organisation is excellent and full credit goes to
DUBLIMINAL VW Club who
organise this event. |

WOW... What's this ?

Non other than Chris Mills who
got right into the spirit of the show and bought a VERY LOUD shirt and
promptly paraded round the showground.... Looking GOOD Chris.
I must apologise for the picture
quality, it seems his shirt was so Bright it confused the camera . . . . |
