It is Andy, id removed it, though now ive moved it a bit it feels alot better, im wondering if through use it had moved slightly, ive put a shakeproof washer on it to see if it makes a dfifference.

Ill get a pic of the box tommorrow, but yes that pic i posted is of the side of the box with the linkage on it

In that case it looks like you've got a T25 Bus Box fitted rather than a T1 or T3 item :smt017 I've never seen one fitted to a covin before due to the amount of work involved. It's a strange one this. . . . .

Would it be a good or bad thing if it had one :smt017
And would there be a possability that it could be changed for a 5 speed :smt003

Unless it is a 5 speed that's fitted and been modified I can't see why anyone would use this Box because it's designed for a Van or Camper with lower gear ratios :smt017 As I said, it's a strange one this . . .

It's probably a stronger box as it's made for Camper vans etc but I'm not sure how good the gearing will be. Driving it will be the only way to tell if the gearing is ok :smt012

That's good to know Matty, it must be a T25 4 speed unit in that case and might even have had the final drive ratio changed who knows. As long as it does the job there's no problem with it :smt012

Very odd :smt017 I still think it might be a T25 box unless there's a 4 speed Porsche box like this :smt017

Your gear selector looks like it's to the right of the drive shaft. The "T" shaped affair which conects to the gear selector on gearbox and also goes down the transmision tunnel to the gear stick. So check to see if this is all conected :smt012

I've found a picture that shows the location of the gearbox code number so if you have a good look we might be able to identify this box
