Only sure way to know is to find the Gearbox code and take it from there.
Still think it's an early 80's T25 box though :smt003

Hi Ian

My south african vw expert friends have decided it can be a2.0lt 4speed bus (Vanagon)box (1978) type091.
But maybe in Europe/ Britain something different was used on your busses
Btw I love the colour of your car .Thats probably the only Covin in that colour and the wheels looks great . Very nice car--hope you gets many happy miles out of her.
cheers
Baron

Havent managed to look yet today, been :smt017 alot, ill update my new questions in my mechanical thread to keep it in the correct section.

Thanks Baron, i did think about changing the wheels, but as there more or less brand new i decided theyll stay for a while.
The colour is what sold the car for me :smt003
