ring and pinion -- 1st - 2nd - 3rd - 4th

std type 3 -- 3.87 -- 3.80 -- 2.06 -- 1.26 -- 0.88

performance -- 3.88 -- 3.78 -- 2.06 -- 1.48 -- 1.04

could of had 1.14 4th but would of reduced top end too much i thought.
once i change into to 3rd gear it should pull pretty well with less rev drop

Danny. Are you sure those gears for 4th are correct because that would mean your new gearbox ratio (4th 1.04) will be reving higher in 4th at a given speed compared to the standard T3 ratio (4th 0.88) :smt017 Have I had to much Rum tonight or have I been breathing in to much 2 Pack paint fumes today :smt017 :lmao

yes they are correct darren .the 3rd and 4th are close ratio.thats what i wanted as most of my driving wont be motorway.i wanted something quick through the gears.
the standard type 3 box at 4000 revs will give me 87mph in 4th
the close ratio box i have at 4000 revs will be at 74mph in 4th
john has .82 final drive so at 4000 revs will be at 94mph in 4th

i will top out at 6000 revs at aprox 95mph .so will avoid speeding ban lol.
the covins scary to drive over 100mph.had it at 110mph and was dicing with death :smt119 .the gear ratios i have should suit what im using it for and where i go..
will be able to do a comparison test accuratley when johns covin on the road as will be the same engines. :smt012

your onto spraying are you matey.cant wait to see the type 3 resto pics :smt012

:smt003 Thank god for that.... I thought I was cracking up there :lmao

Should be much better through the gear m8, I could do with 3rd gear changing because it's not a good ratio for the Turbo Engine so going from 2nd to 3rd gives lots of turbo lag until the revs pick up more :smt013
