o.k guys, i know it's been a while since a progress report, it's that time where you do very little , but takes forever to complete. finally got all the glass in, got the windscreen off ebay £50 brand new still with sticker on it.

i've almost finished work on the audio install, have to take some more piccys, got a centre console which houses a 7 inch wide screen, dvd, sat nav etc, might give you guys a few ideas on what can be achived.

i've re-designed parts of the cooling system, header tank was'nt high enough, causing the pump to get an air lock, and pushing the water out when the engine was turned off. A lot of the problem is caused by the heater being higher than the header tank, maybe something for other builders to watch out for ( shame the elec heaters are so crap). got a new rad cap from demon tweeks ( thermo cap) very good indicator, can screw straight on to a rad or header tank, good idea if you want a standard interior, or back up therm??

started work on the roll cage...... lots of stress and broken fingures, it's a standard omp for a porka, the rear fits well, but the front is an arse, think i'll have to leave the front out, any one doing a rs, looking for a roll cage front, give me an e-mail.

got a friend with a mini ( really small ) wind tunnell, stuck a model (remote control) 911 in it, see what you mean about the cooling problem at speed, and down force / up force problem, ( turned upside down at 115 mph!!!!) definately have to baffel the engine to seperate the two halves upper and lower as in a porsche, and get rid off the heat at the same time - got a few ideas, did involve a hack saw and the bumper but looks pretty good, but maybe not to everyones liking, i'll get some pics of it.

anywayz on with the pics!!!!!

Image the radiator is directly behind the cut out, hopefully this should take the heat off the rad and out the back as per darren's sugestions.

Image what does everyone think of this centre console, leathered and carpeted.

Image sat nav / 12 disc changer / dvd

Image you can just about make out the roll cage in the rear, just bunged it in to see how much work there will be to fit it.

Keep the pictures coming m8. Will you put the number plate on the rear bumper with spacers or something?

Hey Ivan, can you post a picture showing the cage at the rear? How will you fix it to the body at the back?

hey all, at the momment the roll cage is for the bck only too much work to get the front to fit as well, and loosing most of the door bins etc. The roll cage is mostly cosmetic at the time but i suppose extra bracing plates could be sandwiched between to distribute the stress. i'll get some more pics this weekend, especially of the cage part.

the engine---- damn that thing is loud!!!! i totaly forgot how loud, can't hear a bloody thing with that going, going to need subtitles or a muffler i think.

i need to make some spacer to semi hide but not block too much off the rear grill to let air move, not sure but i'm sure some cheap alternative will come to light made from half a toilet roll insert???? or something??

talk soon fella's!!!!
