One hell of a job and it looks fantastic :smt012 Well done, can't wait to see this at Stoneleigh :smt004

Ref: Driving experience..... I found closing your eyes does help to ease the fear :lmao Once you get the Covin on the road you can then start to do a few tweaks on the steering and camber, toe etc which will improve things a lot. It'll never be a racing car but you'll at least enjoy driving it rather than fearing for your life :smt012

some of thoses electric steering jobies are only assisters to the rack which in itself isn't powered at all, most of the new auto test top competion cars use them, Thats definately worth thinking about.

:smt006 hi chaps i bet you thought you had left somthing loose didnt ya mate . yep they all drive like that for the first time , tweaks make it less fearful . but as darren said just close your eyes and use the force :lmao :lmao :lmao

re rack, me and dave iles have done this before and you dont want to put a rack on that suspension with them big wheels . its all wrong wrong diddly wrong wrong wrong. ..massive bump steer like you have never experienced you wont like it a bit. i have done many mods to the front beam and have got it as good as you can, no bump steer no wonder just a bit heavy though, when stood :smt012 you guna need a whole new idea for the front :smt012 :smt003 :smt003 :smt003 go to stoneleigh and read all about it. :smt012

Yep, like Mark said, forget converting to a rack. Been done before and is worse than the standard steering box :smt018
The bottom line is. There's no easy fix but things can be made better and narrower front tyres will help. 205 tyres made a huge difference to my Covin after many other mods and tweeks were carried out :smt012
