Hi peeps just joined the forum thanks to some help from Darren. My first profile managed to get spammed for some reason but I got there in the end :smt009

My names lewis I'm from west Yorkshire and I've just discovered the covin. Seem like really interesting cars and after speaking to a friend at weekend who used to own one there seems loads of fun can be had with them.

I'm currently driving a Porsche boxster 987 and I'm hoping to find out more about the covin and hopefully own one in the near future!

I'll prob ask some stupid questions but please bare with me :smt003

There's some cracking examples in here from me looking around the site!

Do any of you lot drive them regular or are they simply fun weekend cars? Also are they 964 replicas or 993 or both?

Thanks

Welcome aboard Lewis. Pleased we got your login sorted out for you :smt012

There's no reason why you can't use a Covin as a regular vehicle, but this will all depends on how well it was built in the first place. I used my Covin as a daily driver a few years ago and it was fine until we had some snow during the winter. They're not very good in the snow due to the very wide tyres and it was a bit like trying to steer a sledge. Other than that there's no problem at all :smt003

If you seriously want to own a Covin I suggest joining the Covin Owners Club. Membership is only £10 a year and you'll get full club support, including full access to the technical and members area of the Forum.

Welcome Lewis,

yer well worth the 10 quid mate the lads on here have a bundle of knowledge and are a friendly bunch too, always willing to help out. Im 2 years into my build now and finding my way around it no problem, we all ask daft questions at some point but they usually get an answer.

Hi Darren cheers for that!

I'll have a look through when I get 5 mins. I'm wanting one already built has to be a very good build through like you say. I'm hoping the majority on here will be well built :smt012

I'd like to do my own build one day but at the mo just dont have the time. If anyone is thinking of selling please feel free to PM me.

I take it there no different to my boxster in the snow it too is shite!

Lew
