How close is Larne Ferry to you ? This could be an option because the Ferry from Larne to Fleetwood gets you much closer to shows.
Travel from Fleetwood to the following shows.....
Stoneleigh 150 miles.
Newark 152 miles.
Run to the hills (Derbyshire) 129 miles

Would this be any good ?

There is always tatton park in august. This is a classic car show but a good one.Went with Mark and sharron last year.If you got a ferry from belfast to liverpool its only about 40 miles away to show. The only thing is the ferrys 7.5 hrs but its not driving .Hopefully mark and sharron are comming again and maybe some other members.John should have his covin there so thatll be 3 including mine and marks.Just a thought :smt012

Hey Paul,

I just bought my first covin and I want to do the same conversion you have with the impreza option.

Could you do a post on how you did the process?

Pitfalls? Things you would have done differently?

Basically my plan is to use the impreza ecu shafts suspension struts - basically the car being an impreza RWD with the covin shell

what gearbox have you used?

Hi, that really isn't going to be possible I guess for you without major fabrication work .I only fitted the Suby motor to the T3 vw gearbox with an engine adapter plate from Kennedy Engineering, California on the covin chassis. If you read my thread you can see the build process as it went along. If your not breaking a car and wiring it yourself I think Dannycovin priced the Suby motor with wiring loom and ECU and it was going to cost 6k. Therein to build a covin to a high spec with this running gear is going to be an expensive build as there are so many items needed to make this work.

Stick to fitting the Suby motor into the current Covin chassis and running gear as it all works really well.

Regards Paul
