Mark,

Many thanks for your prompt reply. I have yet to establish contact with Roger Cooling who is the events organiser. I have phoned on three occasions but as yet not been lucky to speak to him or any of his staff. Will get back as soon as I have some more information. Needless to say you most welcome to stay at our home.

from Michael

Hello all, i have just received this email, regarding malvern show cancellation,

message as below

Dear Mark,

I’m afraid the Malvern Kit Car Show has been cancelled. Unfortunately the show did not get the support we had hoped for from the traders.

Kind regards,

Roger

from grosvenor shows

well there goes another one, we need more shows like tatton and nostel to keep the interest, these big events at show grounds are too expensive to deliver when you dont get the crowds any more,

:smt005 :smt005 :smt005 :smt005 shame was looking forward to this one,

that is a shame. Never been to Malvern ,meant to be lovely grounds. Tatton park seems to be thriving. The vw show , American and classic sports shows are are good events and always plenty cars and crowds. perhaps the Tatton sports classic next year as it's a 2 day event and they had the Italian replica kits last I went. Sure would be a spot for the covin club.

Danny, Malvern Showground is a good place to go. Just back from a Western themed Motorhome Show which we go to every year. There are plenty of covered halls there as well. Plenty of grassy places to pith a tent, water available.

yes agree Kev , will do this one next year for sure, two day event ticks the boxes for me, will look into getting a club stand, if we give every one plenty of time to plan then we could be on a winner :smt012 :smt012 :smt012

Prior to departing on our planned holiday further efforts were made by me on behalf of the club by use of e-mail and telephone correspondences to try and find out if a club stand was provisioned for at the Malvern Show in November. I was disappointed to note that the show organisers have reluctantly cancelled the forthcoming Kit Car Show at Malvern; this was not notified to me in person and I am thankful to Mark Turner who posted the cancellation of this event on the clubs forum.

I look forward to receiving further information on other events that club members feel may be appropriate for us as a club to attend. Otherwise we have only the Stoneleigh Kit and Classic Show in 2015 to look forward too.

Needless to say I hope to meet up with as many members at our forthcoming club meeting in Chester over the period of 7-9 November.

Kind Regards

from Michael
