Being an inveterate and unapologetic petrolhead, Ive always got some project or other on the go.
This first car has just been sold to a chappie in France. Its an NG Henley Tourer, 1600 Pinto engine and despite the little Pinto engine goes like a rocket. Bhind that is my LWB T4 VW that was once a Painters van that I converted into a camper.

These photos are of my current project. A GCS Hawke Morgan Replica.
I bought it as an alleged part finished car, but like all cars described as such, it was nothing of the sort and I had to go back to page 1. Its acually a lot further on now with body and wings fitted and electrics going in but I havent taken any newer pics as yet.

These pics are of the front wings after spraying with Combi Color. I had already hand rollered on 3 coats vefore spraying these and the paint is just so good. Its self levelling and fills in a multitude of little holes etc and is touch dry in hours.

This final one is a Legend Speedster I built quite a few years back and found it on Ebay when someone was selling it

Yes The Legend is quite rare, I doubt there are more than half a dozen on the road, if that. thanks to dear Mr Sands.

Im trying to find the build pics of my VW T4. The idea was to fitout a T4 as a camper as cheap as possible but with a decent finish.
The T4 I converted before that was very hard graft. I made all the furniture, interior doors etc with a router and all the specialised fittings and rubber and it was expensive.

This project was to fit out a LWB as a useable Camper for under 1K.
I got the van for £2300. It was a Kennings lease vehicle used from new by a painting and maintenance company but with FSH. I haggled VERY hard, it took me over 2 hours as they wanted 3K :smt012

All the Units were from Ikea, total cost under £100. The Ikea units are brilliant. Use wall units as base units and simply reinforce them, they are the perfect size.
Rock N Roll bed from Bluebird Custom £350
Fridge was £250 (Cash deal)
Smev 2 burner cooker and sink £125
Plus 240V circuit breaker box and 240V fittings
Zig unit for 12 V
Wall coverings plus associated wiring etc and it came in at just around £1K
I got the carpetting from outside a carpet warehouse shop that had a fire and it was allegedly 'smoke damaged' Gave the boss a fiver and got a huge roll of heavy duty commercial stuff that was in for an office block. Chucked about 3/4 of it as it was damaged but got an enormous piece left. Some of which went into the camper and the rest is in my shed ready to go into the Morgan when its finished.

By the way, if anyone in Hampshire needs GRP work doing, give me a shout, if I'm free I'll help. I used to build GRP boats years ago for a friends company, and have done lots of GRP work on cars

Hmm I dont know if I have many more details. As I said I found she was for sale on Ebay and that is the pic you see on this thread.
I built her from a bog standard Kit bought from the now Bankrupt Legend Motor co. They didnt use a VW floorpan, just the rear section and it was then welded onto their Omegachassis.
The good point (the only good point) about the Legend was it had a fibreglass floor and no VW floorpan to rot out.
Ive also built a Pilgrim Speedster and part built a Chesil for someone.

Building one really isnt that hard. I would suggest anyone gets the floorpan shortened professionally unless you are a good welder as it also involves cutting the gear change rod inside the tunnel.
Pilgrim's Speedster kit is OK and was a bit more fiddly than the Chesil but the finished artcle is only as good as the bloke that builds it.
