I'll remember that Mike... I'm sure I'll end up getting it on my hands though as somehow I always do :lmao

Do you know if you can paint 2 pack over the top of it like you can with stonechip etc ?

Not sure what its called, But a local guy i know here developed it, so I can get all you need. Anyone whos used it here simply calls it 'Charlies Paint'. Havent heard a bad word about it. Theyre supposed to be testing it on military equipment in siberia and oil rigs, so theres gotta be something good about it. Hire a sand blaster for a week and build an everlasting bug. :smt019 :smt004 :smt003

Very nice this beetle project. The 66 model is 6 volt and its necessary to convert to 12 volt because the lights are very poor with 6 volts. Two years ago,i had a 67 model and i passed it to 12 v with a 1641 tuned engine but i sold it because i want a covin.I like very much the cal-look style in the beetles.
In my opinion ,your model is perfect for to modify it and make a old school beetle.
Greetings.

Thanks for that :smt003 Unfortunatly I've not really had much of a chance to get started on the Beetle yet. All I've really done so far is give it a good check over for rust etc and cleaned out all the rubish. I have tested 2 paint matches though and the 2nd one looks pretty good but will require full panels painting to get it to match the rest of the paint.
I think I might start working on this after Newark show with a bit of luck.

Only slight problem is I've snapped some ligaments in my right wrist so I'm out of action for a while :smt005

:smt016 :lmao Oh yes . . . . I knew that was COMING :lmao :lmao :smt079

That's what happens when you start digging lots of 15 foot tall privet bushes out. Digging foundations etc and putting up new fence. It all takes it's toll :smt005
It's been 2 weeks now and the wrist is still no better. Bloody typical, I've got loads of work to do as well :smt013 :smt009 :smt013
