At Stoneleigh 2013 club members met up with former COVIN Bulder Len Boulton. Len started to build his COVIN based on a shortened Beetle Chassis in 1984. He spent many hours on the body, sorting out the defects in the moulding and managed to get all the panels gaps just about perfect. Disc front brakes were fitted and a 2 litre flat four, twin carb engine from a VW412 Estate was installed. A new wiring harness, and all the dash instruments, including a re-calibrated speedo. Sadly in 1988 and with work changes, Len sold his COVIN in 1988. In the same year at the Stoneleigh Kit Car Show he was to see his COVIN completed and on Show (Car Registration on vehicle was J 26404). He really wanted to take the car home with him; but it was no longer his car. He believes that the person that purchased his car lived in the Sheffield/Leeds/Huddersfield area. Now trying to find his COVIN. So if you have any ideas on the whereabouts of this car; then please phone Len on 01327 340166

Here's a picture of Len Boulton's Covin. If anyone has any information about this Covin it would be greatly appreciated.
